Calling all construction businesses – take part in our online survey
The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership has launched a survey of the region’s construction industry to help inform future activity.
The 10-minute online questionnaire is aimed at all businesses, both trade and professional, working in the construction sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The results of the survey are confidential and will be used by the LEP to inform future initiatives to help construction businesses to grow and prosper.
Scott James, the LEP’s Construction Strategy Partnership Manager, said: “The construction industry is hugely important to the local economy and we want to ensure it has the capacity and skills to take full advantage of future economic growth.
“But is also faces a number of barriers and we are keen to tackle those so that we can retain as much benefit as possible from future investment in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and make sure that wherever possible local people benefit from increased construction activity.
“The short online survey we have launched will give us a snapshot of existing capacity in the construction sector and help us best target future activity.”
The construction sector is worth more than £500 million a year to the economy of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, employing some 21,000 people. By 2025 this is forecast to rise to more than £680m, with a further 3,000 jobs.
The online survey can be found here and takes about 10 minutes the complete. The closing date is Friday 28th April.
