Ever since the June 23 Referendum vote, the future of EU funding in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly has been in the balance.
Statement regarding Falmouth dredging
In common with all 39 Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP) in England, the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly LEP was invited earlier this year by the Government to bid for a share of £1.8 billion of Local Growth Funds. This funding is to support economic growth and job creation. The LEP successfully bid for £60m of Growth Deal investment in earlier rounds. The deadline for bids was 28 July and it is a competitive process between projects and against other regions.
