Progressing sustainable construction in Cornwall

We would like to invite you to our free ‘Enabling Innovators’ Workshop on Friday 14th July at the Green Build Hub, Eden Project hosted by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) and in association with Cornwall and Isles of Scilly LEP & Cornwall New Energy.

Sustainable growth is a core LEP principle.  The LEP Construction Strategy highlights the opportunities to develop our specialism for sustainable construction in Cornwall and IoS, to facilitate cross-sector collaboration and to develop projects with this approach embedded from the start.

This series of events focuses on supporting the region’s Construction Industry from the Client all the way through the supply chain, to promote sustainable construction and raise the bar on the delivery of energy efficient buildings through innovation.

Why attend?

This workshop is aimed at local businesses who are currently, or are looking to, supply innovative products and services to the Construction Industry, which assist to reduce energy consumption, improve energy efficiency, increase energy flexibility or provide low-carbon energy generation in buildings.

The workshop will provide you with relevant information on how to overcome challenges of getting innovative products and services into the supply chain and how to make the most of the opportunities in sustainable construction. The workshop will conclude with a roundtable session to look at ways in which the Cornwall Energy Project can help you overcome barriers and a tour of the Green Build Hub – a living laboratory and demonstration centre of sustainable construction.  We would also like to engage you in our meet the buyer events scheduled for later on in the year.
